A Mighty Day // Day in the Life

We get a lot of questions about our daily lives as entertainers. Especially as a family unit who all participate in the content creation on a daily basis, our lives can be a bit crazy and so we thought we would take some time to share our daily hustle with you. We filmed a video of our day and you can see it here. We definitely don’t have a normal life and we know that’s not a surprise to our audiences, but we also want you to see that while we don’t have normal schedules, we go through the same things that you do. We are just a family who happens to turn on the camera every so often.

Life During COVID

Like everyone else, our lives were turned upside down by the pandemic and so we have had to adapt. Most of our meetings are done via Zoom and the girls’ daily Spanish lesson is as well. We knew that it would be easy to let the uncertainty overwhelm us, so, Justin and I took a look at what we could do in our daily routine to help us stay healthy and safe during this pandemic. By making certain that we all get balanced meals throughout the day and increased our workout regimen, we have been able to actually get healthier. Justin’s routine includes boxing and I think he’s looking forward to the day he can intimidate future dates. We know the girls won’t be dating for at least 10 years, but Justin will be ready when they do decide to start.

Speech Therapy?

The kids have had plenty of creative outlets to keep themselves busy and learning. Alexis and Ava have been in speech therapy for a while now, and they have continued over video chat with their speech therapist. They were premature – like a lot of twins- and some of those muscles around their mouth didn’t form in the womb quite like they were supposed to. But the girls have been working hard on remedying the issue and we believe that before long, their ‘R’s and ‘S’s will sound perfect! We couldn’t be more proud of how they are progressing.

Laundry Day?

I’m sure my other Mamas can relate to the literal mountain of laundry that has to be done every day. My kids, Justin included, have a habit of going through clothes like they are disposable. So, while we would like the world to see an obsessively clean house, just keep looking out for that day you actually get to see our full couch, free of clothes. With three kids, a full-time job, and a husband, a spotless house is just not something I need to stress myself out with. You have to pick your battles and that’s just not one I want to fight.

Want More Like This?

I know that this isn’t one of our usual “parenting lessons” blogs, but we just wanted to give you guys a little peek behind the camera to see what kind of life we live. If you want to know more about our day to day life, leave a comment and ask! We will do our best to answer and if you want to see more videos like this last one, let us know! I know you will miss her. I always loved for my mom to visit and hated for her to go. I’m an only child and I loved our visits…. She’s with God now and as an adult I still miss her being here. It never got old for me, and in the midst of this pandemic I know I would have gone crazy. For all who can and will, just stay prayed up, love your parents and if it must be from a distance, love hard. God’s got them. God’s got you all too. Be blessed and remain safe from the COVID-19. Continue to share the wonderful stories. The family is beautiful and loving and great examples for the world. Love you guys.

I love watching you and your beautiful family. Ami, you are so inspiring. I pray that Tyler Perry will make a show for you and your family on his network. You are a clean wholesome family, that I and many other people enjoy watching.
